Hi, I'm Devon.
Hi, my name is Devon Whitehead. I'm originally from San Luis Obispo, CA and now live in downtown Los Angeles. I'm 21 years old, graduated from San Luis Obispo Highschool in 2004 and went to Cuesta College for 2 years majoring in art. I decided I wanted to go to a college and loved Otis ever since I read about it. Now I am attending and am going to major in Digital Media. I love horror movies and virtually anyting to do with horror in general. Some of my fav horror movies would be Friday the 13th (the entire series 1-11), Maniac, Sleepaway Camp (1-4), Slumber Party Massacre (1-3), and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1-4).I also love to draw, read comics, and read true crime novels (my favs are the Nightstalker, and Severed). I also like to collect horror movie action figures. My current favorite bands to listen to are Rob Zombie, Elvis, Rammstein and Buddy Holly. When I'm not doing homework I like to hangout with my girlfriend, watch horror movies and go to horror conventions. I dream of one day becoming a concept artist and working for an entertainment company, doing concept art for horror, sci fi, fantasy or any type of film or tv show really.
Y'know...Me
I was born and raised in North Hollywood California and have lived in the same cul-de-sac all of my life. I have three siblings in my family, all of whom are boys. My two older brothers don't live at home anymore, but my youngest brother still lives with me. My father was born in North Africa and my mother was born here, they met eachother in Israel.I went to a very small private Jewish day school in the Los Angeles area, called Shalhevet. My favorite activites are drawing, hiking, joking around, acting, talking philosophy, and reading. I am usually shy and quiet around people I do not know, but, I usually warm up to people pretty quickly. I love concept art and illustration, and dream of one day being a concept artist in the future. It is something I have had a passion for since I was but a youngling. I would love to work on a fantasy or Sci-Fi or fantasy type movie or video game, but in reality I would be ecstatic to concept art for any production.
Info to the max!
Being born as a Hockey Player's son, I grew up in hockey rinks. I was born in New Jersey and around the time my dad retired from Hockey when I was three, we moved to Pennsylvania. Hockey was a big part of my life and it was really all I did. During the off season I played Lacrosse so I would have something to do. Then as I got older, Lacrosse stole most of my interest. Lacrosse was a sport that I could play year-round, and I enjoyed it a lot more because I was better at it. Art was not a big part of my life when I lived on the mainland. Even then, I still sat down often to draw monsters and the occasional Pokeman. At the time it just was not something that I could see my self getting into. Then all of that changed when my family decided to move to the Islands when I was ten.
Hawai'i, at the time, had no sports that I enjoyed playing. So being bored most of the time I picked up Video-games. I started to love playing them because it was something me and my dad could sit down and have fun with. It also gave us something more to talk about. As I got more into Video-games, my interest in drawing and art grew. After playing games like Final Fantasy, I would sit down and draw monsters that I would think would be interesting for the game. So because of that I started taking art classes in my school (which sucked beyond belief). From there on, Art was passion and the more I did it, the more I loved it.
I found Otis through a school trip. The school flew us to San Diego, and we drove up the state visiting most of the private colleges. When we got to Otis and I saw the 4th floor, I knew that this is what I wanted to do.

More About Me
I'm originally from Centreville, Virginia. I graduated from Chantilly High School in Chantilly, Virginia. I moved to Los Angeles to attend Otis because it was my first-choice school. I'm heading towards the direction of majoring in Digital Media to do concept art, animation, or character design. Even though i could've gone to any school back east with the same program, i decided to come to Otis because i wanted to try something new. California is a lot different than Virginia, but I've already gotten adjusted to this place. However, I'll always miss Virginia and my life back on the east coast. Other than that, I usually like to drive around at night time while listening to classical music. I'm very close with my family and keep in touch with them everyday. I love to take black and white photos, paint, and sleep. I'm usually quiet and keep to myself, but that's something I'm trying to change.

More About Me
I'm originally from New York City. I've studied art all my life and went to the Fame High School of music art and performing arts in NYC. I came to Otis to study photography although I'm currently thinking of going into Communication Arts. I've been a part of three museum exhibitions in New York, the last two were for photography. I plan on staying in California, but i will always love my home back on the east coast. I love to travel and having family all around the world makes my experiences there more enjoyable. I'm easy to talk to and often get carried away with engaging conversations.

I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts and migrated to Los Angeles many years ago. There have been many adventures in my life and I have enjoyed participating in all of them. Otis was my college of choice to complete my BFA and then I joined the Writing Program to earn my Masters Degree in Writing . I am an avid reader, a painter, writer and I make jewelry. I enjoy teaching and meeting all the new students and engaging them in conversation. Please tell me a little bit about you.
