Being born as a Hockey Player's son, I grew up in hockey rinks. I was born in New Jersey and around the time my dad retired from Hockey when I was three, we moved to Pennsylvania. Hockey was a big part of my life and it was really all I did. During the off season I played Lacrosse so I would have something to do. Then as I got older, Lacrosse stole most of my interest. Lacrosse was a sport that I could play year-round, and I enjoyed it a lot more because I was better at it. Art was not a big part of my life when I lived on the mainland. Even then, I still sat down often to draw monsters and the occasional Pokeman. At the time it just was not something that I could see my self getting into. Then all of that changed when my family decided to move to the Islands when I was ten.
Hawai'i, at the time, had no sports that I enjoyed playing. So being bored most of the time I picked up Video-games. I started to love playing them because it was something me and my dad could sit down and have fun with. It also gave us something more to talk about. As I got more into Video-games, my interest in drawing and art grew. After playing games like Final Fantasy, I would sit down and draw monsters that I would think would be interesting for the game. So because of that I started taking art classes in my school (which sucked beyond belief). From there on, Art was passion and the more I did it, the more I loved it.
I found Otis through a school trip. The school flew us to San Diego, and we drove up the state visiting most of the private colleges. When we got to Otis and I saw the 4th floor, I knew that this is what I wanted to do.
